Always an awesome experience to team up with the interactive gurus over at Blue Ion. Not only do these guys (and gal) really know their stuff, but they’re just plain fun to be around as well. They recently got in touch looking for five conceptual illustrations to help represent Newbury – a new mixed-use development in the South Hills area of Pittsburgh, PA. When the work was done I consolidated each Photoshop file (see: mess) into two or three transparent layers (a foreground, middleground, and background), which they then brought to life with the parallax effect. Definitely a cool little touch. Check out the end result here.

  3. I love the colors you used. I really get a clean, modern, fresh vibe from these illustrations. This is so funny because this community is about 5 minutes down the road from where my parents live/where I grew up. Small world.
