  • New for Baby

Just launched a new identity and website for New for Baby, makers of “the hip baby’s first wardrobe.” From the broad brush strokes down to the tiniest details, I had a great time teaming up with NFB founders Lyn & Leigh over the past several months overhauling their entire visual presence (and learning quite a bit about fabric, stitching, and the like during the process). Thanks to Jennifer Bearden for stellar photography, Jenny Badman…

  • Big Chef Little Chef

Charleston fitness guru, childhood obesity combatant, and Louie’s Kids founder Louis Yuhasz and I have crossed paths several times over the last couple years, each time wondering out loud when we’d get a chance to work together. The opportunity finally presented itself a few weeks ago when Louie’s Kids needed a poster for their upcoming Big Chef Little Chef event, and I was happy to do a little design for such a great cause…

  • Jennifer Bearden Photography

Photography was Jennifer Bearden’s first true love – a sentiment that’s reflected over and over in the strength of her portfolio. With an emphasis on wedding photography, she aims to freeze the entire day in time, from beginning to end, from the big picture down to the smallest detail.…

  • Current Electric Vehicles

A few months back I got the chance to do a little illustration work for Gil Shuler and the boys over at Current Electric Vehicles. Current is a new electric car dealership opening up in Charleston with a refreshing vibe: the staff’s focus is more on educating the customer about electric transportation, and less on making sure you walk out the door with a new set of keys in your pocket. Gil got in …

  • Charleston Wine + Food Festival 2010

Home to some of the country’s best chefs & restaurants, Charleston is a no-brainer to host a world-class culinary event. Each spring guests of the Charleston Wine + Food Festival enjoy tastings, demonstrations, and lectures from world-class chefs, authors, and wine professionals.…

  • Jazz Artists of Charleston

Jazz Artists of Charleston is non-profit organization incorporated to cultivate an inspiring, professional, and healthy environment for musicians and audience members throughout the area, while also promoting Charleston’s vibrant jazz culture by producing educational programs, concerts, presentations, and special outreach events.

Spirits were high last night at “See Jazz” – a visual exhibition and annual fundraiser for Jazz Artists of Charleston, held at the Charleston Center for Photography. On display were killer images …

  • Charleston Jazz Orchestra

Benefiting the non-profit efforts of Jazz Artists of Charleston and comprised of many of the finest musicians in the area, the Charleston Jazz Orchestra debuted in 2008 and has since established itself as a resident 20-piece big band jazz ensemble accessible for entertainment and education year round.

  • Founded in 1926 and comprised of various contractors, architects, and engineers, United Infrastructure Group is one of the Southeast’s largest and most accomplished transportation design and construction services. While the name may be new to you, chances are good you’ve driven upon something they built. UIG was looking for a clean, simple, and bold icon which would be reminiscent of “structure” in some way. As the company is a parent group which “shelters” numerous smaller companies, they were also keen on their logo resembling a roofline. Together we honed in on a mark which is strong and versatile – aspects we determined were key.

  • Newbury

Always an awesome experience to team up with the interactive gurus over at Blue Ion. Not only do these guys (and gal) really know their stuff, but they’re just plain fun to be around as well. They recently got in touch looking for five conceptual illustrations to help represent Newbury – a new mixed-use development in the South Hills area of Pittsburgh, PA. When the work was done I consolidated each Photoshop file (see: mess) …

  • Technical Event Company

Setting the stage for memorable occasions of all shapes and sizes, Charleston-based Technical Event Company handles lighting, sound, video, and everything else needed to pull your shindig off without a hitch. When electronics guru and company founder Todd St.Onge approached me about a logo for his new business, his marching orders were simple: “I’m calling it T.E.C. and I like robots.” Done and done.…

  • Carol Hannah

A few months back my buds at Dwarf Dog Chuck asked if I’d put together a home page and navigation illustration for Carol Hannah’s site. I knew at the time she was set to appear on Project Runway, but had no idea the South Carolina girl would make it all the way to the final three. Tune in to Lifetime tomorrow night @ 10 PM for the season finale.…
