As somebody who surfs every chance he can get (when Charleston manages to get a couple waves larger than rowboat wake), I was stoked to team up with Folly Beach’s Ocean Surf Shop on a rebrand.
A unique boutique for the board-riding super-freak, Ocean Surf Shop has all of the beach toys, gear and expert advice you’ll need to get on to the beach and into the waves.
Some cool stuff coming…
When a buddy of mine said he and a friend were resuscitating The Village Tavern and asked if I’d like to design a couple t-shirts for the cause, I immediately jumped on board. For those of you who weren’t around or don’t remember, The Village Tavern over in Mt. Pleasant (South Carolina, for all you non-local readers… hi Grandma!) was a popular live-music-focused watering hole which died an unfortunately slow death and…
Flew up to Ohio this past weekend for good buddy and fellow designer Drue Dixon’s bachelor party, and decided to put together a batch of commemorative t-shirts for everybody to throw up on. (Just kidding… that wasn’t the plan, nor did it actually happen. Or did it? I suppose what happens in Columbus stays in Columbus.)
Just finished a batch of limited edition silkscreened posters and t-shirts for this year’s Charleston Peace One Day Festival. The prints are all signed & numbered, 18″ x 24″ with blue, brown, and metallic copper inks on 100 lb. natural stock. As usual, a big thanks to The Half and Half for a spot-on printing job. The shirts are 2-color on American Apparel t’s. All will be for sale…
Just got a batch of JFD “type tees” back from the printer! I’ve been wanting to put together shirts for a while now, but until recently haven’t been able to find the time. Really excited to finally have some in-hand. They printed PMS 432 (for a nice, blueish, not-quite-gray-but-not-quite-black look that doesn’t really translate in the photos) on heather gray American Apparel, available in both men’s and women’s cuts.
Had a great time working with The Charleston Friends of the Library (A nonprofit supporting the Charleston County Public Library system) + Grand Ideas on these tote bags, to be sold at their 27th annual “THAT Big Book Sale” fundraiser, Friday Oct. 9th – Sunday Oct. 11th at the Gaillard Auditorium. The bags will also be up for grabs this Sunday (09.27.09) at The Green Fair over at Marion…
Named one of The Southeast Tourism Society’s Top 20 Events, Charleston Fashion Week is a five-night celebration of the city’s flourishing retail and design community, featuring runway shows from local shops & designers, bumpin’ after-parties, and the debut of the Southeast’s top emerging talent. For the 2009 event I overhauled CFW’s identity and unified their look, creating a cohesive campaign with work spanning print, web, apparel, and outdoor.
My friend George was diagnosed with cancer and ended up falling on tough financial times. In an effort to help chip away at medical bills and fight his disease, friends and coworkers banded together to throw an oyster roast in George’s honor. Local businesses lent a hand by donating items for a silent auction, and all proceeds from the auction, t-shirt sales, and admission tickets were given to George.
