  • Logos

A selection of logos, trademarks, and logotypes created for a variety of clients over the past several years. Some were created as part of a broader graphic system, where as others were designed to carry the full weight of an entity on their own. All were crafted with care.…

  • National Football League Foundation

The National Football League decided to restructure and consolidate their previous charitable arms — NFL Charities and the NFL Youth Football Fund – into a single new entity, the National Football League Foundation, and got in touch looking for a logo.

“The National Football League Foundation is a non-profit organization dedicated to improving the lives of those touched by the game of football — from players at all levels to communities across the country. The

  • Family Circle Cup

The Family Circle Cup is the largest women’s tennis tournament in the world. Every April, Charleston welcomes close to 100,000 spectators and over 70 world-class athletes to participate in the excitement. I partnered with Obviouslee Marketing and word sorcerer Jenny Badman to create these three down-home images designed to promote the event and reflect the character of Charleston.…

  • Eames

For the finale and closing reception of the 2012 Charleston Film Festival, I proudly partnered with The Terrace Theater to promote a showing of “Eames: The Architect and the Painter.”

Narrated by James Franco, this documentary covers the life and work of enthusiastic American modernists Charles and Ray Eames, a husband and wife team whose 1950s and 60s California-based design studio fostered a unique mix of the practical and the aesthetic.

    It not only made …
  • House Industries

Designing anything that says “House Industries” on it would be a thrill, so when AIGA South Carolina tasked me with creating a poster to promote their upcoming Rich Roat lecture, I jumped at the chance. The end result is a three-color, 18″ x 24″ screen print on 100# French “Orange Fizz,” pulled to perfection by The Half and Half. The paper has a unexpected shine to it that catches light where the dull matte ink …

  • Trout Trick

I’m no fisherman, but word on the creek is that these gooey little guys are a sure thing. Trout Trick is a saltwater trout lure made right here in South Carolina, discovered almost accidentally by its creator, Bob Sanders. Plunk it in the water, kick your feet up, and fish start jumping directly onto the grill with lemon wedges tucked underneath their fins. Or something like that, anyway. Keep up with Bob and link to Trout …

  • Fenwick Pythons

Based in Toronto, Ontario, Fenwick Pythons promotes the hobby and captive breeding of exceptionally unique and genetically diverse ball pythons.

This entire project was a blast, to say the least (when a guy calls from Canada asking you to brand his snake-breeding business, you take the job), but I’m especially fond of Fenwick’s oversize 4″ x 2.5″ letterpressed calling cards, printed on Neenah Classic Crest “Tarragon” duplexed with “Epic Black” at a total weight of …

  • The Occupy Poster Project

I was excited to be asked by printing pals The Half and Half to contribute to the Occupy Poster Project, and am even more excited to see the effort has enlisted some pretty serious help – James Victore, Art Chantry, and recent ADC Young Gun Dan Cassaro, to name a few of the occupiers…

The Occupy Poster Project was born out of a love for print. This seemed like the perfect opportunity to curate and

  • Poogan’s Porch

Just finished a fun redesign for a Charleston staple…

Tucked away on charming Queen Street, Poogan’s Porch is one of Charleston’s oldest independent culinary establishments, with a fresh approach to Lowcountry cuisine. Recognized by Martha Stewart Living, Wine Spectator and The Travel Channel, this beautifully restored Victorian house is the perfect southern spot for lunch, dinner, or weekend brunch. Since opening in 1976, Poogan’s Porch has been a favorite of well-known celebrities, politicians, tourists and locals

  • Charleston Symphony Orchestra

As the largest full-time performing arts organization in South Carolina, the Charleston Symphony Orchestra is a central component in the rich cultural foundation of the region. The CSO attracts an audience of over 100,000 people annually and has been a partner in weaving the cultural fabric of the City of Charleston since 1936.…

  • Visualive

Every now and then you get approached by a new client with a business idea so good, all you can think is “why hasn’t this been done already?” Such was the case when the fellas at Visualive got in touch looking for an identity. In a nutshell, Visualive is a network of HDTVs located in businesses and public spaces around Charleston, all connected to a central interface – the Visualive.tv website. Think of it as …

  • Ocean Surf Shop

As somebody who surfs every chance he can get (when Charleston manages to get a couple waves larger than rowboat wake), I was stoked to team up with Folly Beach’s Ocean Surf Shop on a rebrand.

A unique boutique for the board-riding super-freak, Ocean Surf Shop has all of the beach toys, gear and expert advice you’ll need to get on to the beach and into the waves.

Some cool stuff coming down the pipe, …

  • I do

A couple months ago I got hitched. Aside from celebrating the beginning of a lifelong adventure with my best friend (I’d be remiss to not mention the obvious), the occasion also gave me the rare chance to be my own client. Much to my fiance’s wife’s credit, she handed over full creative control of our invitations, saying simply “I’m sure I’ll love whatever you come up with.”

As much as it might have been fun to …
